A few myths busted about studying Medicine at UQ:
- Approximately 320 places are available for domestic students each year.
- There are two entry pathways into the Doctor of Medicine (MD) which include Provisional entry for school leavers and Direct entry for graduates.
- The Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test (UMAT) must be taken by those applying for provisional entry while the Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) is taken by graduates seeking direct entry.
- All places offered to domestic students are Commonwealth supported places.
- There are things you can do to boost your chances of securing a place in our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program through UQ’s Bonus Rank Scheme.
