Researcher biography

Dr Marks' teaching and research is in the field of public health nutrition, with a core interest in using research to strengthen nutrition policy & programming. He has particular expertise in nutrition monitoring and surveillance, and program/ policy evaluation, with application to food and nutrition security, food systems, micronutrient malnutrition, and non-communicable disease prevention.

Current research is concerned with food security and sustainable diets.

His work has involved projects throughout the Asia-Pacific region, with the principal areas being Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
