Relaxin-3 is a neuropeptide hormone involved in behaviours such as feeding and motivation. We are developing novel peptides targeting the relaxin-3 receptor RXFP3 in order to validate this signalling system as a therapeutic target, with antagonists showing promise in reducing addiction and over eating, while agonists are potential treatments for anxiety.
