Principal Advisor: Professor Di Yu

Email: di.yu@uq.edu.au

Research group: Yu Group - T-cell immune mechanism, monitoring and modulation

Organisational unit: UQ Diamantina Institute

T cells play a major role in the immune system. Not only do they eliminate infected and cancerous cells, but also control the homeostasis and function of many other immune cells. The HDR student be a part of the Professor Di Yu’s research group to undertake internationally competitive research in the areas of T-cell immunology. The HDR student with a background of biomedical science, bioinformatics or computer science will conduct bioinformatic research to investigate the function of T cells using cutting-edge omics technology, with an emphasis to apply and develop algorithms and computational methodology to model immune responses in human diseases, such as infection and cancer, as well as in immunotherapies.
