Abstract

In the dynamic field of cancer biology, the quest for innovative treatments is ever-pressing. This talk will be presented by Professor Widodo, Rector of Universitas Brawijaya and a respected figure in biological research. Professor Widodo will delve into how traditional knowledge, often overlooked, holds promising keys to unlocking new avenues in cancer therapy. With an illustrious career that spans over two decades, Prof. Widodo has dedicated his life to advancing global health through innovative approaches that bridge the gap between ancient wisdom and contemporary science.

Born and raised in Indonesia, Prof. Widodo's journey into academia began with a profound interest in the natural sciences. He pursued his undergraduate studies in biology, demonstrating early on a keen intellect and a passion for research. With an academic foundation from prestigious institutions in Indonesia and Japan, focusing on molecular biology and genetics. His research during this period laid the groundwork for a career that would later on seamlessly blend traditional Indonesian medicinal knowledge with cutting-edge scientific research.
