Each year, more than 6,000 academic and professional colleagues work together to deliver our education and research programs and in 2018, there has again been some outstanding contributions from individuals and teams across the Faculty.

Staff will be recognised across six award categories this year:

Team Awards

  • Collaborators of the year
  • Innovators of the year
  • Service excellence of the year

Individual Awards

  • Leader of the year award (Academic staff)
  • Leader of the future award (Professional staff)
  • Leader of the future award (Academic staff)

We will also be joined by distinguished guest speaker, author and neuroscientist; Baroness Susan Greenfield who will provide us with an insight into the 21st Century mind:

“The wonderful thing about being a human being is that although we are born with a full complement of brain cells, it is the growth of connections between the cells that accounts for the growth of the brain after birth. These connections reflect the unique sequence, - a life-story, of individual experiences and interactions with the outside world: a phenomenon known as ‘plasticity’ that leads to the personalisation of the physical brain, amounting to a ‘mind’. Given the unprecedented challenges posed by the digital world to thinking, emotions and well-being, we need to devise the best ways for optimising fulfilment of each individual’s potential.”

Following the award formalities canapes, drinks and live entertainment will be provided on the lakeside terrace.
