Interprofessional collaboration is increasingly recognised as essential in healthcare. However, medical programs often lack structured opportunities for students to engage in interprofessional learning experiences due to the complexity of the program design and distributed placement model. This project focusses enhancing sustainable interprofessional collaboration in medical programs. The project will used mixed methodology. Curriculum and resource mapping will identify key points for IPE integration, and the educator skill development required. Collaboration with local health educators and community organisations will enable the evaluation of IPE-specific case studies, simulations, etc., and student active engagement and development of skills. The project contributes to developing enhanced collaboration and communication skills among medical students, ultimately improving patient outcomes through better interprofessional teamwork, and increased satisfaction and confidence of students in their ability to work collaboratively in complex healthcare settings.
