NAIDOC Week 2021 Episode: T’Kido and Seffwen Titasey

In this special NAIDOC week edition, Associate Professor Maree Toombs yarns with UQ students and siblings T’Kido and Seffwen Titasey about their journey from growing up in the Torres Strait to studying at The University of Queensland. They discuss what lead them to their fields of medicine and nursing as well as exploring what this year’s NAIDOC theme, Heal Country means to them.

T’Kido and Seffwen Titasey are Torres Strait Islander students, both undertaking studies at The University of Queensland.

T’Kido is in his first year of Medicine, with a completed undergraduate in Nursing and Seffwen is following in her older brother’s footsteps. She’s in her first year of nursing with the hopes to study medicine afterwards.
