Purpose

The role of the SoA Assurance Committee (SoAAC) is to oversee the operations of the School of Anatomy’s (SoA) Gross Anatomy Facility (GAF) and Body Donor Program to ensure that the facility meets all applicable requirements for the use of human materials for teaching and research. The committee will provide advice to GAF management, the Head of School, School of Biomedical Sciences (SBMS), the Faculty of Medicine Executive Dean and senior University management, Vice-Chancellor’s Risk and Compliance Committee (VCRCC) about the Facility’s operational, ethical and legal compliance status, and compliance with The University of Queensland (UQ) SoA governance specified in UQ Policy and Procedures Library (PPL) 1.30.07 Anatomy Facilities and Programs Governance.
