PhD Graduate of the Year Award

Nominations have now closed for the 2024 Faculty of Medicine PhD Graduate of the Year Award.

In 2021, in line with the Faculty of Medicine Excellence Awards, we introduced an award to recognise and celebrate one of our recent PhD graduates through the Faculty of Medicine PhD Graduate of the Year Award. The Award will be presented at the Faculty's annual HDR Symposium, being held 21 November, 2024.

Nominations

Eligible PhD Graduates can be nominated by members of their PhD Advisory team or other UQ staff members for the Faculty of Medicine PhD Graduate of the Year Award.

Award selection will be based on written statements addressing the selection criteria.

Nominations close Friday 11 October 2024 at 9am.

Eligibility

  • PhD candidate enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine.
  • PhD conferred in the previous year (September 2023 – August 2024)

Selection criteria

An individual who has:

  1. Demonstrated outstanding commitment to research and future potential as a researcher in line with the UQ HDR attributes
  2. Contributed as a valued UQ citizen during their PhD candidature, including internal and external service
