Implementation of a co-designed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander QLD cohort across Queensland

Researchers from the Indigenous Health group at Mater Research Institute-University of Queensland have recently received funding to co-design and implement a longitudinal cohort for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families. Following the co-design of this cohort with its Indigenous Steering group, this cohort will be implemented in 5 sites around Queensland. It will have a focus on the perinatal and early childhood period for mothers, their partners and children. Further it will have a series of nested interventions embedded. Opportunities exist for a PhD student to work alongside this research team to determine the feasibility and acceptability of the protocol implementation at each site. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are encouraged to apply.
