Tobacco smoking remains a leading contributor to burden of disease in Australia. Around 10% of the population smoke regularly, and rates are higher among some population groups. There is also increasing concern about addiction to other nicotine products, such as vapes. There are a range of interventions available to support people to stop smoking, but availability and cost vary geographically and by eligibility criteria. This project will identify ways to fill current gaps in smoking/nicotine cessation support services and identify what types of programs/interventions different population groups in Australia would like to have access to.
