Project submissions have now closed. Applications submitted after this date may not be considered for funding.


All selected scholars will receive a Summer Research Scholarship. Scholarships are valued at $360 per week and will be awarded based on academic merit, motivation for participating in the program, and the enrolling unit’s nomination. To be eligible for the grant, scholars will need to meet the following conditions.

  • Participate in the program between mid-November to mid-February
  • Participate in program for 6 to 10 weeks, as advertised.
  • Work a minimum of 20 hours per week, as advertised.

Important: These projects are located at multiple sites at St Lucia and Herston campuses and hospitals in Brisbane, Ipswich, and a number of rural and remote area facilities throughout the rest of the state.

Some projects are located at clinical sites and may require students to meet additional OH&S requirements eg. Evidence of vaccinations, inductions or other governance requirements.
