Metamorphosis: Breaking Through

UQ’s Masters of Mental Health (Art Therapy) final year students, and first year international students, are asked to complete an art therapy-based research project. There is also a requirement for students to create a body of art works related to their independent research, leading to this public exhibition.

The 2020 graduating cohort of art therapy students is an impressive group who have demonstrated incredible resilience and agility in managing to respond to the unique situation brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Metamorphosis: Breaking Through exhibition celebrates their achievement and enables them to be acknowledged as artists as well as emerging art therapists. Congratulations to all graduating and continuing students, and thanks to their supervisors, teaching staff and families for their ongoing support.
