Clinical Schools
Partnering with the Queensland government and private health services, UQ has the strongest medical teaching and research presence throughout Queensland.
Our School of Clinical Medicine contains eleven clinical units situated throughout Brisbane, giving students the opportunity to learn and practise the clinical skills needed to be highly competent doctors.
Our Rural Clinical School provides high quality medical education and training experiences for students in rural and regional areas. The premise is that medical students who have a positive living and learning experience in a rural or regional setting will be encouraged to take up rural practice, thus enhancing the sustainability and viability of rural health care services.
The offshore clinical school of Ochsner (United States) enable students to benefit from UQ’s expertise and teaching excellence. This includes opportunities for graduate and student clinicians to work with internationally renowned researchers and boost the synergy between research and clinical care.
