Transforming through connection and resilience

Final year students, and first year international students in UQ’s Master’s of Mental Health (Art Therapy) are required to complete an independent art therapy-based research project. This cohort dove fearlessly into the research task and should be commended for their efforts.

For their final year, students are also required to create a body of art works reflecting on their research process. This year’s group have entitled the exhibition Transforming through resilience. It celebrates their achievement in the arduous research journey and enables them the opportunity to close the creative loop in the process of emerging as art therapists.

Experiencing first-hand their journey of resilience in adapting, enduring, and emerging has been an enormous privilege and pleasure. Congratulations to all graduating and continuing students, and thanks to their supervisors, teaching staff and families for their ongoing support.
